Fantastic burger joint! Their Big H Country and pastrami burgers were delicious and very flavorful, although the bun was a little dry. Their cheese fries are definitely the way to go, but regular fries are also delicious. They’re cut fresh in the morning and the cheese fries are real shredded cheese, baked in an oven. None of that fake cheese shoved in a microwave crap. Our server was great- attentive but not annoying and she was proactive with refills of the incredible frosted root beer drinks. You can taste the flavor and individual spices in the home brewed root beer. Delicious!! Cherry lime aid was way too sweet.
First time here. Delicious Canadian H! Root Beer in frosted mug was perfect. Very nice, friendly, and forward thinking staff. After bringing my burger, the waitress returned a few minutes later to check on me, and to asked if I needed anything...'any mustard or ketchup?' I think she could see that my fry sauce wasn't going to last through the fries, and as fry sauce isn't a no-cost item, she was proactive to offer something else. I'm sure I'll be back.
I love this place! Took my babies there over 40 years ago. Still great quality and service. Now I take my grandkids and husband there when we are in town.
I lovedddd the frozen root beer float! Every time I go to Utah I try and stop by and get one. If you want a classic old school and family friendly vibe with amazing prices this is the place to go!
Always a good stop if you’re in the mood for a burger. Been going here for over 10 years and always enjoy their food. Classic big h is our go-to, but enjoy almost everything on the menu. The root beer is made in house (or at least used to be) and is phenomenal. I’m not even a soda fan and enjoy it.
What can I say? Hires Big H is the spot for burgers. Growing up in Salt Lake City, this has been one of the most popular places to eat. They have a great selection of food. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and more variations of them than you would expect. I’m this visit, we were in the midvale location. The quality is great. Prices have grown obviously. Still a great deal! The peppermint shake is amazing. Plenty of parking, well cleaned restrooms and they keep the rotation going. Kid friendly choices and even vegetarian meals. All in all, it’s highly recommended.
The food here is traditional American Burger fare and the atmosphere nostalgic. It's exactly what you'd expect it to be in the best way. Quick service, consistently good, fresh food and casual, familiar surroundings.
Great classic burger and fries! I can’t believe this place is still around. My husband grew up eating here when he was just a little kid. He says the quality hasn’t changed much either, and the food is still delicious.
